Created using a 3d printed spiral template, I used a blue, green and silver colour palette in acrylic pouring paint to create this double sided wall art piece. The template is mounted onto a 200 x 200mm acrylic sheet, using a small amount of epoxy resin, and the spiral was set into an off set position, and weighted down until dry. Acrylic pouring paint was layered into a cup, then poured into the spiral and frame. A dragging technique was then used in the paint while it was still wet, to created a feather effect in the art piece. This took a few days to fully dry, and it was really tempting to touch the drying paint, but I resisted. Once the piece was fully dry, a top coat of epoxy resin was added to seal the piece. Once the epoxy layer was dry I was able to see both sides of the finished design, and the effect of the painting technique on the under side of the piece. This finished artwork piece measures approximately 200 x 200 mm and is approximately 6.5 mm deep and is mounted upon an acrylic sheet. This artwork comes without a frame, or hanging hardware, enabling you to choose which display method suits you best. For wall mounting we would recommend either command strips (the weight of the piece is approximately 300g) or Nano tape. Stands used to display this artwork are not included in the price.
